Servicing 

C.M.P Autos is a BMW/ Mini friendly service centre. We can read your key, cross reference your vehicle on the manufacturer's technical website and come up with a service plan tailored to your specific vehicle and of course update the electronic service record just like the dealers can. 

C.M.P Autos has many years experience servicing most makes and models on a regular basis. We follow the manaufacturers guidelines for the year and mileage of the vehicle.

All service parts are ordered in specifically your vehicle using only quality aftermarket parts. Many of these brands are OEM to your particular vehicle.

A few items, such as spark plugs, fuel filters, brake fluid change, DSG gearbox are not considered an every service item. If your vehicle is due for one of these, we will inform you and let you know there will be an additional cost if you decide to proceed.

PLEASE NOTE. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO LEAVE YOUR LOCKING WHEEL NUT KEY READILY ACCESSIBLE, ON THE PASSENGER SEAT FOR EXAMPLE

What is included in a full service? 

That is a very good question. There is actually no industry standard that defines a "full Service", it is at the service centre's discretion what they include.

We beleive the C.M.P. Autos full service is more comprehensive than many of our competitors.

SERVICES AVAILABLE

We offer 3 levels of service, Basic, Interim and the C.M.P. Autos Full Service.

BASIC

The minimum requirements to keep your service history up to date and satisfy the manufacturers warranty including:

  • Oil and oil filter change
  • Lighting, washers & wipers check for operation
  • Tyres - visual inspection only
  • General visual inspection including drive belts
  • Code read
  • Reset service light


    • INTERIM

    All of the above plus:

  • Air filter and cabin filter change as required
  • Battery and charging system check
  • Engine coolant and brake fluid test for quality and condition
  • Gearbox oil level check
  • Tyre pressure and tread depth check including spare wheel where fitted
  • Visual inspection of brake components>
  • Lubricate doors and hinges all round


    • The C.M.P. Autos Full Service

    All of the above plus:

  • Removal and inspection of road wheels. Tightened to factory torque setting when refitted
  • All brake calipers removed, cleaned, moving parts lubricated
  • All brake pads removed, cleaned and checked for smooth operation
  • All brake disks checked for rust and scaling and refurbished as necessary
  • Rear brakes adjusted to maximize hand brake performance

    C.M.P. Autos - parts policy 

    As far as possible, C.M.P. Autos only uses quality aftermarket parts. Many of these are themselves OEM to the major car brands, giving the customer the quality and back up they can rely on.

    Dealer parts are available on request and usually at additional cost.
